It was the time when the north-most District of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Neelum) was considered to be the most slum and the most effected by the Line Of Control (LOC) flakes. There was no platform to raise the voices of slums and their issues on higher level. Then a bold and an honest journalist, “Tariq Mehmood Chughtai”, Shifted back from “Karachi” to his hometown (Neelum) and established a district press club named “Neelum Press Club” in 1997 . He became founder president and remained president till his death.
 Tariq Mehmood Chughtai introduced Neeulm Valley to the world, he raised serious issues through his profession and now District Neelum is known as one of the most famous tourism destination in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. In 2010, after his death in a car accident, his son “Usman Tariq Chughtai” adopted his profession as his inherited passion.
 Usman Tariq Chughtai, son of Tariq Mehmood Chughtai, was born on 9 September, 1994. At the age of 17, in 2011, he started his career as a trainee in a local news paper (Daily Jammu Kashmir Times) without ignoring his educational career. After being graduated in 2014, he became the member of the Neelum Press Club. As the years went by, he learnt skills in reporting with electronic media and writing columns regarding the contemporary conditions of the community. In 2016, he was declared to be the youngest member of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Press Foundation after passing the exams of Press Foundation. Soon, after an year, in 2017, he was elected as “General Secretary” of Neelum Press Club and continued his sympathetic services till 2021.
 In the elections of Neelum Press Club, conducted in 2021 he was elected as the President of the Neelum Press Club. It is an honor that he was the first ever youngest president of any press club, elected through elections, throughout Azad Jammu And Kashmir. It was due to his dedication, love, sympathy and devotion for his profession.
 Usman worked for different national electronic medias i.e; 92 news, Channel Five and AJK T.V”. He joined “Neo T.V Network” in 2018, and since then he has been working as a district reporter with Neo T.V. During his professional career he focused on war zone reporting on the Line Of Control ( LOC ). He reported all the contemporary important news taking risk on his life. He experienced reporting during natural disasters i.e; floods, earthquakes and other calamities in the very remote areas of Azad Kashmir.
 He utilized his writings and reporting skills to motivate, inform and to educate the people of Azad Kashmir for developing awareness among them to recognize their rights and duties. Usman Tariq Chughtai is an active and reputed journalist of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. His reports and news secured the position of authenticity, that’s the reason he had won the trust and love of folks of Azad Jammu And Kashmir.
